Jessica Cannon, Ed.M, Program Director, Health Promotion & Education

Arriving at Barnard as a student in the fall of 1999 from Virginia, Jessica discovered Well-Woman during First Year Orientation and fell in love. A peer educator for 2 years, she especially enjoyed promoting positive body image and belonging to a group that spoke so openly and positively about sex.

Jessica was thrilled to return to Barnard as an administrator in 2004, dividing her time between the Well-Woman office and Primary Care Health Service. She started as a health educator in Well-Woman and the Primary Care, and is currently Program Director for Health Promotion and Education, overseeing the Well-Woman program and peer educators, and Primary Care’s health education efforts. Jessica has a Masters of Education in counseling psychology. She is always happy to speak with students about any aspect of wellness. Just ask!

  1. Hey Jessica! I love the Well Woman blog! I wish we had this when we were Well Women, but we were old school with the newsletter. I would love it if you could share my blog with the Well Women, especially those interested in a career in medicine.

    Be well!

  2. Hi Jessica, I’m so impressed with the blog and the presence of Well Woman at Barnard. Great work! I live in Berlin, Germany, and am an alumna and a practitioner of the Grinberg Method, a kind of bodywork that shares a lot of your aims. I’ll be in New York in January 2014 and would like to stop in and meet you! It would be very interesting to be in touch.
