This post is inspired by a discussion between two brilliant and vegan-ish well women, about the joys of s’mores and the difficulties of vegan marshmallows.
First, it should be mentioned that vegan marshmallows can be acquired here. However, we Well-Woman are a tough bunch and immediately had to know how to make your own marshmallows.
This recipe is apparently foolproof but involves a lot of strange ingredients.
This recipe seems most accessible to me. It has a low rating but if you look at the comment section there are a bunch of good tips.
Once you have made your vegan marshmallows, you can make vegan s’mores with this graham cracker recipe, or, as I like to do, make candied yams with marshmallow topping (note: I would use earthbalance instead of margarine, which is sometimes not vegan).
