Diversity at Barnard (an Interview)

So, this post is a shameless self-plug for a post that I did for Refuse the Silence, a blog about women of color on liberal arts college campuses. I did an interview with none other than Pamela Phayme, the Director of the Office of Diversity Initiatives at Barnard!

It was really intriguing to get to hear about diversity acceptance and creating a campus community from the administrative point of view. It shows both that our campus does well in its encouragement of diversity and having the conversation, but also that there are still things that need to be done.

Take a listen (or, if you’re really ambitious, read the transcript) over at the page An Interview with Pam Phayme.
